ROC TIMING

This shows up to 10 drivers on the screen at one time. Where there are more than 10 drivers on the screen, the display pages automatically. Along with each driver's name, the display shows their kart number, the number of laps each driver has completed, the elapsed time into the current lap, their best time and their last time. The display updates at the moment each kart passes the start finish line.

The drivers are ranked by either kart number, by best laptime or by race position. During qualification or practice sessions, each driver's position on the display will be determined by their best laptime in the current race. As a driver betters the best laptime of the driver above, they change positions on the board - automatically. This allows spectators to instantly see how their friends team rank against the other drivers on the circuit.

For races where drivers are racing for position/number of laps, the display is ranked accordingly. The driver who is in the lead and has most laps will be in the first row on the display. If they spin-off and lose position, they will fall lower and lower on the display until they are in last position.

At the top of the screen, the viewers can see how long there is left remaining in the current race. The bottom of the screen displays the track record laptime, so they can compare their friends' times with what really can be achieved!

Animations
The display features various animations that pop-up on the display to highlight:

  1. Track record just been broken
  2. New best laptime of this race
  3. Race over - chequered flag!
  4. Race stopped (red flag)
  5. Caution condition (Yellow flag)
  6. Driver black-flagged!
  7. Gap Time Animation

When a driver receives a black flag, the display shows an animation of a marshal black- flagging the driver. It also shows the drivers name and the reason for their black flag.

Gap time animation
The bottom of the display also shows gap times between each of the drivers and sponsorship every so many laps (like in Formula 1). This display can be shown on demand or made to appear automatically. This shows the gap time between drivers in position 1 and position 2, then between drivers in position 2 and position 3, etc.
